Editor Help (Concise)

Basics

• Load: pick a .conllu file.
• Navigate: Prev “<”, Next “>” (buttons or keys). Edits auto-save on navigation.
• Export: Shift+X → download edited.conllu.
• Textbox: starts hidden; use “Show/Hide Textbox” to toggle.
• Status bar shows last action and parse notes.

Table & Insights

• Table rows: ID, FORM, UPOS (colors: VERB red; NOUN/PRON/PROPN blue; INTJ orange; ADV/AUX/cop black; others grey).
• Edits update table and insights automatically.

Word Edit Mode

• Enter/Exit: w / Escape.
• Select token: type multi-digit ID (buffered) or click in table.
• POS: n→NOUN, v→VERB, p→INTJ, a→ADV.
• Split: “/” → enter parts (first keeps deps; others compound to first).
• Join: f or “+” (join next), d or “-” (join previous) → choose merged FORM (deps reattach).
• Reroot: r → set selected token as root; previous root becomes tbc_root under new root.
• Navigate while in mode: “<”, “>”.

Relation Bullet List

• Top-level shows clause predicates: root, conj, and tokens with ccomp/xcomp/advcl/acl/parataxis (subtypes included).
• Under each: “[deprel] is [id]/[token]” for tracked dependents (subject nsubj/csubj incl. nsubj:pass; obj; iobj; dislocated; parataxis; ccomp; xcomp; advcl; acl; advmod; conj; discourse).
• Add new: template “$DEPREL is $WORD” → pick deprel, then dependent.
• Interaction:
  • Click [deprel] → change via keys.
  • Click [id]/[token] → change dependent by typing ID+Enter or clicking table.
  • Hover/click → highlights dependent and head columns; greys others.
• Shortcuts (when a list item/template is active):
  • b: subject
  • c: ccomp (I think it's late)
  • d: dislocated (topic) (Singapore everything very expensive, Everything they also know)
  • i: indirect object (They gave me a present)
  • j: conjunction (could be clause, noun, ...)
  • l: acl -- clause modifying a noun (I heard a rumour that you are sick)
  • m: advmod (They go home already)
  • o: object
  • p: particle (You try to leave lah)
  • q: parataxis
  • w: advcl (Go home if you are sick)
  • x: xcomp (I tried to leave, they told us to go)
  • - (hyphen): Clears existing dependency relation

Tips

• Ensure table cells have data-col for accurate highlighting.
• If the list is empty, a fallback (rootish/first VERB) may appear.
• Digits build an ID buffer; Backspace deletes last digit; buffer resets after actions.
